Here is an explanation of this weekly feature. This entry lists the best and worst for the past 30 days of the 2016 regular season, through games of Sunday, July 3.
Comments of the week: The American West features two of the three best teams in the league over the past 30 days, and three of the five worst. That’s what they call separation, I suppose. Also, four of the top five sluggers in the National League over the past 30 days–Wil Myers, Danny Espinosa, Jake Lamb, and Brandon Moss–may be the unlikeliest quartet we’ll see this year.
