This entry lists the best and worst for the past 30 days of the 2017 regular season, through games of Sunday, June 5. Here is an explanation of this weekly feature.
Comment of the week: Whenever something unexpected happens, you can count on somebody tweeting, “xxx happened, just as we all predicted.” It was clever, maybe, the first time it was done five years ago or so, but now it’s become hackneyed. So I am not going to say it. Instead, I’ll just note how delightful it is that the two best hitters in the National League over the past 30 days are…Justin Bour and Zack Cozart.
